Motorola is gunning for Research In Motion, the maker of BlackBerry smartphones. The company’s latest Android phone is squarely aimed at the enterprise market, RIM’s bread and butter.

In this video I take a first look at two upcoming Android smartphones for Verizon Wireless, the Motorola Droid Pro and the Motorola Droid 2 World Edition. The Droid 2 World Edition likely will be nearly identical to the standard Motorola Droid 2 only with GSM roaming capabilities allowing it to be a world phone. The Motorola Droid Pro is a bit different as it will have a 4 inch display as well as a 1.3Ghz processor making it one of the fastest phones available. The Droid Pro also likely will have world phone capabilities and should be available in November.

I use Linux daily, and love the open source mindset, so I am really trying to love the droid… but it hasn't happened yet. Old habits perhaps, as I am a long time winmo user (xv6600 – loved this phone so much i ran 2 of them into the ground, i760, & omnia).. * help me love the droid .. please comment with oversights and app suggestions *
