On October 25, 2001, Microsoft Company introduced its latest update of its Windows OS.  They referred to it as Microsoft Windows XP in order to distance themselves from the earlier editions of Windows that were known by the years they were released.  The letters XP stand for expertise and this operating system was designed for both home and business use.

Windows XP is recognized for its enhanced security and efficiency over previous editions of Windows.  It offers an extremely redesigned GUI system and was a improvement that Microsoft marketed as more user-friendly than earlier versions of Windows.

The latest software mgmt. abilities were included to avoid the difficult DLL Hell from happening which the current version of Windows had. It is also the initial Microsoft edition to utilize a product key as a way to activate and make use of the application. This prevented any creation of replicates and software piracy. Nonetheless, this attribute wasn’t received by the other end as something ideal. Often, Windows XP could only be set up and operated if you’ve already activated the product key which ensures that the particular XP edition truly belongs to the user of the certain personal computer and wasn’t a duplicate from a different one.

Microsoft Windows XP was also seen by a number of user for its issues for example lack of security and a firm integration of programs such as Internet Explorer or Media Player. And while there is a stating that goes like “change is good”, men and women could not seem to handle Windows XP when it was newly introduced.

There are a lot of developed attributes that Microsoft Windows XP bring. These are the following:

* Quicker start-up and hibernation series

* Freedom to remove the newest device driver instead of the recent one in the event the newer driver is less acceptable in performance.

* Improved and much easier utilisation of the user interface including the model for creating themes on your pc.

* Speedy user switching which allows a person to save the present state and open applying their desktop computer allowing a different user to use without losing that data.

* Offers support systems for several DSL modems as well as wireless network connections and enables network within FireWire.

* Remote Desktop characteristics which allow people to connect through the computer which is processing Windows XP from a network or from the web and enables them to control their software programs, files, printing devices as well as other equipment.

Windows XP is among the commonly used Operating system at the moment. Even though Microsoft has built and launched another version of Windows the Windows Vista, Computer users still find Windows XP as the most ideal Operating system.
